Introduction. Aromatic herbs have a long history of use in traditional medicine, valued for their healing and preventative qualities, as well as for their flavor-enhancing properties in food. These herbs are recognized for their rich content of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial compounds. This paper presents an in-depth exploration of the properties of volatile oils derived from aromatic herbs, the techniques used to extract these oils, and their various applications. Additionally, the paper offers a succinct discussion of recent contributions in related fields, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetology, medicinal and aromatic plants, and natural therapies.

Experimental. Examples of volatile oil contents in various plants are provided, along with the techniques used for their extraction, such as steam distillation and ultrasonic extraction methods.

Results and Discussion. The therapeutic and biological properties of the plants from which volatile oils are extracted have been examined, along with their medicinal applications. Volatile oils play a significant role in the development of treatments with antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, growth-stimulating, immune-boosting, and teeth-whitening effects. These oils have wide-ranging applications across various industries, including dental care, cosmetics, therapeutic treatments.

Conclusions. Based on this research into the composition of volatile oils, we will be able to develop novel medical device, dietary supplements and cosmetics with anti-inflammatory, antiseptic properties, and high bioavailability. This effort draws upon an extensive record of both traditional and modern medicine. Their bioactive compounds can enhance the efficacy of medical products, improve patient outcomes, and offer natural alternatives to synthetic chemicals. This section explores the various ways volatile oils contribute to the advancement of medical technologies and their potential to innovate healthcare solutions.
